Halide Studios is an artist-run project space and photographic studio based in Raglan, Aotearoa New Zealand. Founded by artists Kate van der Drift, Cassey Locke, David Loughlin, and Rodrigo Hill, Halide operates as both a working studio and a shared platform for creative development, visibility, and exchange.

We provide a space where artists can make, test, and exhibit work, while also engaging the public through workshops, open studios, and community events. Halide Studios represents a collective approach to art-making, supporting autonomy within individual practices while fostering collaboration, learning, and critical dialogue.

Alongside exhibitions, Halide offers professional development and commercial photography workshops that extend into areas such as studio lighting, portraiture, product photography, post-production, and visual storytelling. These programs are designed to build skills for both creative practitioners and small businesses, bridging the gap between art education and industry practice.
