Cassey Locke

Cassey Locke is a photographic artist based in Whāingaroa/Raglan, New Zealand. Her work is a meditation on the ephemerality of people and things. She is influenced by philosophy and psychoanalysis and uses her creative practice to engage in an ongoing dialogue with death.

In 2022 she completed her Master of Creative Practice with First Class Honours at Unitec in Auckland. During her undergraduate degree, Cassey was awarded Contemporary Arts Excellence in Photography and Moving Image and was a finalist in the Eden Art Schools Award.
