Lumen and phytogram processes sit at the intersection of photography, printmaking, and material experimentation. This private lesson provides dedicated time to explore these methods at your own pace, with instruction shaped around your interests and level of experience.

Working one-to-one allows for a slower, attentive approach, encouraging observation, testing, and reflection, rather than outcome-driven results.

What You Will Learn

  • An introduction to lumen and phytogram processes

  • Working with black-and-white photographic paper without a camera

  • Using plants, organic materials, and found objects

  • Exposure using sunlight and time-based methods

  • Washing, fixing, and preserving prints

  • Understanding variables such as paper type, light, and environmental conditions

Participants leave with finished prints and the skills to continue experimenting independently.
